Kiri Research Labs is an applied AI research entity focused on TinyML and Hierarchical Architectures. We build the infrastructure for "Intelligence on the Edge"—ensuring that advanced reasoning capabilities are accessible without industrial-scale compute.

Our work bridges the gap between massive foundation models and the practical reality of deployment in low-latency, resource-constrained environments.

Focus Area Description
🧩 TinyML & SLMs Engineering high-fidelity Small Language Models (0.5B - 3B) via quantization, pruning, and knowledge distillation. We prove that size is not the only metric for intelligence.
🏗️ Hierarchical Architectures Developing "Manager-Worker" cognitive topologies. Instead of one massive model, we utilize specialized routing networks to decompose complex tasks into efficient sub-routines.
🗣️ Naija Voice & Linguistics Building the acoustic bedrock for African AI. We create adaptive tokenizers and datasets for tonal languages (Igbo, Yoruba, Pidgin) to ensure cultural nuance is native, not an afterthought.
